Michael Morse

I don't make player collages that often, much less adding huge editing effects, but I had a slow afternoon after class and threw this one together for fun.

Btw, the lyrics are A-Ha's "Take on Me," which is Michael's at-bat song, in case you didn't know. Gotta love the 80's throwback!

A bird's eye view.

"Baby, you're a firework."

The title makes a lot more sense if you know relief pitcher Ryan Mattheus (52) warms up to "Firework." I kid you not. Definitely a change of pace from the usual hip-hop and R&B & rap songs that players choose.

Ryan and Danny.

Two of my favorites. Man, I'm going to miss them while I'm away in school!

Summer times.

Earlier this week, my brother and I went to the county fair and did our usual: get some great food and walk around a bit. I naturally brought my camera along. The fair has great photo opportunities and fabulous colors. I didn't take many pictures, but I did grab a few along the food vendors/various concessions. They always have such captivating displays and great smells. (I love the smell of anything baked, grilled, or fried. Although all at once proves to be an interesting scent.)

Here's one of the photos I took in my usual manual function around twilight (which is great lighting, albeit a bit frustrating for photographing). Had I realized there were semi-creepy clowns on the top, I probably would have gone for a different stand, but this isn't that bad. I think.

The Sanctuary

This is a beautiful hotel on Kiawah Island not far from where my family and I were staying during our visit to the Lowcountry. (However we didn't stay here. We like our world better without being inundated with golf at every turn and $15 cocktails;).

Anyways, the hotel was not only massive, but very Southern chic. Maybe you've heard of it. It's called The Sanctuary. Apparently renowned for it's views, golf course and did I mention golf? To stay here, you'll have to sacrifice a very pretty penny for all these luxuries, but I suppose that's a choice you'll have to make.

As for this picture, the sun was setting and it was a bit cloudy at the time. Plus there was some tree covering the little garden, so the coloring isn't what I had hoped (even with a bit of editing), but it's still a nice picture nonetheless.

Break time. (Sort of.)

"I have your back."

There's a story behind everything.

Such as with this picture. This is a picture of a baseball player, but there's more to that story. At every Nationals game, in the middle of the 3rd inning, the Nats have "wave your caps" and then have military recognition. Every game. (Which I personally think is pretty cool. I don't know of any other team that does this, so if you do, feel free to tell me.)

During yesterday's military recognition, I happened to glance at Ryan Zimmerman and noticed him clapping. For all the Nats games I've been to, that's the first time I've ever noticed a player participating in the military recognition. It's not much and certainly nothing for the world to stop spinning for, but I thought it was neat to see one of them acknowledging the people that make the world a little safer.

Stories from summer.

Every summer, my family and I go to a farm numerous times and pick all types of fresh goodness. Why? Because it tastes so much better, we get the satisfaction of doing it ourselves (trust me, when you spend hours in the sun picking, it really does taste so much better) and it's just something fun we've always done. Sure we get sweaty and nasty, but eh, such is life. It's good to sweat anyways. :)

Here's some photos I took from one of our adventures to local farms.

*All original pictures that I took.*
