Perspective

This is a crystal baseball paperweight that I received as a gift from work this past summer. While I was home a week a go and playing with my camera, I took a picture of the bottom half of it. Because you can see through the reflection of the weight, you can see the reflection of the book shelf.

The first photo is the original. The second photo is the same photo, but upside down. It's amazing what a little perspective looks like.

10 years later | 9/11 in New York

I know I only posted a "sneak peek" of NYC 9/11 coverage, but I really don't want to upload photos twice, so if you'd like to see more of my first hand photos of the 10th anniversary of 9/11 in New York, check this out!

Bright lights will inspire you.

I'm a self proclaimed sucker for city lights. I love them. Absolutely love them. There's something special about seeing a city's skyline light up with lights while the rest of the world spins around you.

10 years later [a sneak peek]

Living in New York for the 10th Anniversary of 9/11 has been especially poignant. Just to see how the city remembers and how the city bonds is amazing. Here's just a few shots of scenes around New York City from an eyewitness. More to come later.

The Athlete Edition

Here's a few shots I've collected in the last several months. It's a plethora of baseball and hockey players. I may have posted some of these photos (which are all my original photos) in other online venues, but here's some of the ones I particularly liked. The photos aren't necessarily action photos, but they are some of my favorites. The action athlete edition will be coming shortly.

It's been great getting practice with sports photography with an SLR. It's definitely a learning experience, but I've greatly enjoyed learning the functions of an SLR and what works (and what doesn't) while shooting sports photography and it can only get better, right? I'd hope so. :)

*All photos are my original photos. If you'd like one, please tell me instead of just saving it to your computer. One, you won't be stealing my art; two, if you take it online, it'll be considerably downsized, and frankly, much worse quality.*
